Tips for Better Sleep

Sometimes, we are our own worst enemy when it comes to sleep.  If you are tossing and turning, keep these things in mind:

Keep the room as dark as possible.
Reduce noise.  Turn off radios and televisions.  You can always put in ear plugs!

Go to bed and get up at the same time everyday.

Alcohol is not a sleeping aid.  It disturbs your rest and acts as a stimulant, same with nicotine.
Don't go to bed too hungry or too full.  A light tryptophan rich snack can help lull you to sleep.  Try turkey or peanut butter toast.

The bedroom should be for sleep or sex.  Remove televisions, computers and other distractions from the room.

Keep the room at a comfortable temperature, not too hot or cold.
